Strategic Housing Market Assessment
The Central Lincolnshire Authorities are required to set an affordable housing target and this must be based on a credible and robust evidence base that must take account of economic as well as housing issues in an area. The four Central Lincolnshire authorities, along with Boston and East Lindsey have, therefore, commissioned an update to the Strategic Housing Market Assessment (SHMA) produced in 2007 as well as an Economic Viability Assessment (EVA).
The studies are being undertaken alongside the Central Lincolnshire Sustainable Futures Study and Infrastructure Delivery Plan, and will be used to inform decisions on affordable housing policies to be included in the Draft Core Strategy.
