City council leader to retire after 42 years’ service to Lincoln
Cllr Ric Metcalfe is to retire from his role as councillor for Glebe ward and Leader of City of Lincoln Council with effect from May 2024, following more than 42 years’ service to the city.
City of Lincoln Council's Executive will discuss the Be Lincoln Towns Deal Sincil Bank Gateways and Greenways project later this month.
The project will complement the recently introduced residents parking scheme by reducing the level of traffic within the area, which will in turn act as a catalyst for further investment.
Works to begin to safeguard iconic Lincoln building
City of Lincoln Council and Heritage Lincolnshire have secured the necessary funding to bring the iconic 40-42 Michaelgate in Lincoln back to life. Works will begin next week.
