Applying for Sheltered or Group Housing

Does this sound like something you will be saying once you move? If you are 60 and over or under with a need for the service with low to medium levels of assistance, don’t leave it years, when we have homes available now in our independent living!

Before you apply
You will need the following documents ready for your application:
- Proof of ID- passport, driving licence, birth certificate
- National Insurance numbers
- Details of your household
- Proof of address - utility bill, bank statement, original
- claim letter (all dated within 6 months)
- Proof of income, benefits and savings of all applicants
- and members of your household
- Details of any medical conditions or disabilities
- Details of any local connection you have to the area
Cost of the service
The total rent that tenants pay includes the following breakdown of charges;
- Rent for accommodation
- Charges for support; charged at around 10% of the accommodation rent
Please note that all supported housing clients hold tenancies subject to our standard terms and conditions; therefore, they have the same rights as other tenants and are expected to live reasonably independently.
In addition we do not provide personal care or home care services directly, however, with the consent from the tenant, our staff will help with the arrangement of care services through other agencies and carers.
