Thanks to a grant from central governments Play builder Programme, Newark Road play area has been transformed into an area that is fun for all the family. A hurricane swing, a log trail and the sports wall are just some of the new play equipment at the park. As well as updated toddler equipment including a play train and platform, and inclusive play panels as of Summer 2016 This site was chosen as part of Lincoln’s Play Strategy, which looked at the play areas available in the city, the number of children in each area and the availability of spaces for development. The designs for the area were chosen by children from Manor Lea and Ermine Community Primary School in Lincoln.
