Established in 1994 to deliver football programmes as Lincoln City Football in the Community (FiTC), Lincoln City Foundation evolved to become a charity in 2009.
Our vision is for happier, healthier, inspired communities across Lincolnshire. We strive to achieve this by utilising the brand and reputation of Lincoln City Football Club, alongside leveraging our own potential and the influence of our key partners, to inspire, empower, and help individuals and communities to improve their physical, social, and mental wellbeing.
We deliver a range of programmes under the key areas of, Mental Health and Wellbeing, Community Cohesion, Education and Employability, and Sport and Physical Activity. This includes an adult activity programme, community development support to a local neighbourhood, a range of children’s and youth activities, and an extensive programme of education support from primary through to Foundation degree level.
Through our programmes we engage with a wide demographic of participants and continually strive to provide a platform of opportunity for all.
Why did you choose to sign up to the charter?
As a local charity we are evidently aware of the importance of undertaking activities that support the local community and our staff.
Across both the Club and Foundation, we are passionate in our commitment to create an environment where our staff thrive whilst developing programmes and support initiatives that have an impact in our local community. We recognise the importance of making a difference and through the Charter and wider council initiatives we are fully committed.
Have you noticed any positive changes since undertaking a range of socially responsible activities?
Lincoln City Foundation’s focus has always been on the undertaking of activities that positively impact the communities within which we work. The Charter is a great platform to share our work and provides an opportunity for collaboration with local companies who share in the same vision.
