Building safety, servicing and testing
We are legally required to test and service your home. We test and service your home and any appliances we’ve installed to keep them safe and efficient, and so they last a long time.
Regular testing and servicing prevent accidents like gas leaks, electrical faults and fires. Servicing your gas boiler also saves energy and reduces your bills.
It is important you allow us access to your home so we can do this.
All testing and servicing is carried out by qualified and registered engineers.
Planned servicing includes:
- Servicing and testing your heating system
- Testing smoke and carbon monoxide detectors
- Testing gas and electrical appliances, if we have fitted them
- Electrical testing
- Lift servicing
- Alarm systems testing
- Access control systems
- Health and safety inspections like fire safety assessments and water safety checks, if they apply to your home
Our Investment Team or one of our approved contractors will contact you 10 weeks before your service is due to arrange an appointment. You can check you are speaking with one of our officers or contractors before scheduling an appointment by contacting our Customer Services team:
